Hindustan Motors' manufacturing facilities are spread across India: Uttarpara, West Bengal (making Ambassadors and Trekkers, and has 35,000-unit capacity); Pithampura, Madhya Pradesh (making engine and gearboxes for all the vehicles and also rolling out the rural transport vehicle [RTV]); Chennai, Tamil Nadu (Lancer and Pajero models); and power products division (PPD), Hosur (manufacturing automatic power-shift transmissions for earthmoving and other vehicles).
