Audi plans to produce higher-powered version of universal RS6 Avant
As far back as from 2004 Audi Company produced higher-powered version without that persuasive universal RS6. This was the last stroke before the appearance of the perfect new generation A6 and the next one the new R6. The special version got the name RS6 ‘plus”, and is powered by 480hp, 30hp more than the standard model. Just as the previous alteration of the universal RS6, the German auto producer intends to present an exceptional Plus-version of the last generation.
Not long ago an anonymous source from Audi reported to the correspondents of the Auto Telegraaf press that the presentation of the higher-powered Plus-version of the new universal RS6 will take place at the end of the circle production of this version, in other words about in 2011.
Most likely, the new “wagon” RS6 will take a higher power and torsional moment, and also a ruder hanger bracket, new wheels and altered brake system. As the previous version, the new issue will be limited to 999 cars.
Until the appearance of the changed Audi RS6 Plus, other competitors of the company from BMW and Mercedes-Benz – plans to put on sale the new generation of the models M5 and the body E63 accordingly. The power is similar to the sportuniversal RS6, and it’s composed from about 580hp.
