BMW 6 Series coupe has received all-wheel drive and turbo (VIDEO)
Mariana Puzderi / Chișinău / Moldova.ORG/ -- The BMW has announced that the sixth series family will soon get a lot of interesting innovations.
Firstly, there will be the diesel engine introduced, which can be considered a rarity in this segment. In addition, the "sixes" buyers will have access to an all-wheel drive system and an M-packet.
BMW 640d and 640d Cabrio will receive a new six-cylinder diesel engine with BMW Twin Power Turbo technology and electromagnetic injectors.
This engine develops 313 hp and 640 Nm of torque, promising, according to developers, new facets of pleasure while driving the "Six".
The diesel coupe reaches 100 km / h in 5.5 seconds, the cabriolet makes it 0.1 seconds later, while consuming about five and a half liters of fuel per 100 km.
For the first time in history, the sedan and convertible 6 Series family received an electronical all-wheel drive system - xDrive.
Currently, it is only offered to modify the 650i with a 4.4-liter turbo - "eight", which develops 407 horsepower.
The interesting fact is that the all-wheel drive 6-Series RWD accelerates faster than its colleagues - acceleration to 100 km / h with 650i xDrive takes 0.1 seconds less.
For the above, as well as for all other modifications of the 6 Series, an optional M-package is now available.
The developers included a more aggressive body kit, LED foglights, 19-inch wheels, sport seats and an M-steering wheel and special interior trim materials, as well.
There are no mentions about the suspension and brakes upgrading.
All of the above will be available to buyers of BMW 6 Series this fall.
