Electric Focus versus Nissan Leaf, Chevy Volt (video interview with Bill Ford)

Chisinau (Moldova.ORG) -- In the world of car’s innovations Ford responded to the competition with an Electric Focus. Record profits and strong consumers’ reviews are setting Ford to a next level where the company is making a firm commitment to GO ON GREEN.
In an interview for CNN (below) Bill Ford, Ford's Executive Chairman said: "one of the biggest differences between Ford and GM and Nissan is the fact that the [consumers] are likely to find their mainstream vehicle. Focus will still have a conventional gasoline, a hybrid, a plug-in hybrid and a pure electric so that all the costumers can have everything they want."
The new Focus is a very high quality and a very well received platform and it has a suite of technologies. On the pure Electric itself Ford Focus gets more miles per gallon than the GM Volt and half a time for charging than Nissan Leaf, argues Bill Ford.
Therefore Ford is getting some real competitive advantages on its pure Electric and in addition it offers all the other types as well.
GOING ON GREEN won’t be a problem for Ford’s costumers. The possibility to benefit from all the new technologies that Focus is giving without giving up anything, having fun, driving it, having all the space, enjoying its multiple functions, is coming within the Focus Electric package."
