Ford recalls for repairing 650 thousand cars
Ford Company declares the recall in the American markets about 650 thousand waggons Ford F-150 and Lincoln Mark LT. By NHTS reports, the service stock affects the cars’ models from 2005 and 2006, equipped with 5,4 litre 8-cylinder engine.
The cause of the beginning of the service campaign was due to the failure of the hose from the brakes vacuum booster. This malfunction may bring to the booster’s failure, later extending to the break pedals efforts, however the capacity to work of the break’s mechanisms are safe. By Ford representative’s account, by this malfunction happened 11 little accidents where nobody suffered.
The cars’ owners are informed to attend auto services in June. The service campaign will start after a month after that. Traditionally, all failures will be repaired free of charge.
