Glamourous VW Beetle with 385 hp engine
Wolfsburg (dpa) - The US JRD Tuning is planning a glamourous VW Beetle fitted with a souped up R32 engine from the Golf with an output of up to 385 hp.
Two engine options will be available, the 2-litre FSI Turbo engine producing 250 hp and the R32 3.2-litre V6 with twin turbochargers producing 385 hp.
Options include a glass roof, folding spoiler and the gearbox from the Audi Quattro with four-wheel drive that gives optimum grip accelerating from zero to 100 km/h in five seconds. // © 2006 DPA
