Land Rover revealed some of the new Range Rover design nuances
Chișinău / Moldova.ORG/ -- The next Range Rover will largely resemble the compact Evoque model.
This is not about size, but some of the key design features that the British artists have laid in the appearance of their last model.
According to Gerry McGovern, the design director for Land Rover and Range Rover, as declared in an interview, it may well be the falling roof line.
In addition, the novelty will get a cool "littered" windshield, which will overall give the luxurious SUV a more sports-oriented look.
The Land Rover is also going to reconsider the flagship’s saloon, again, in the spirit of a more compact model: it is reported that the interior will have some similarities with the Evoque model.
However, the British will work more thoroughly on the second half of the cabin, in order to provide rear passengers more space.
The new Range Rover will be more economical - not only due to the upgraded engines, but also because of the different approach to the body construction.
By using modern materials, designers are going to save up to 1000lbs, which will make possible holding the weight of the future model in the range of 4850lbs.
The new generation of Range Rover may be expected next year.
