The new Ford Mustang gets a more compact look
The new Ford Mustang, planned to be sold in USA in 2009, keeps the previous body size, but will look more compact. About that informed the director of the North American Ford Design Peter Horbury.
“We have the car, better for the present-day life than Dodge Challenger or Chevrolet Camaro. These cars look old and cumbrous, but the purchasers need economic sportcars.”- mentioned Horbury.
There are no details about Ford Mustang, but some features about the engine the press have found. The engine’s line, proposed for this version will be totally renewed. From the USA requirements about ecological problems, the American company produces V6 engine the version EcoBoost with two-turbo superchargers. Ford mentions that its power is 415 hp, and the torsion moment will be the same as V8 has.
It is a secret about the features of the atmosphere engine V8 with 5,0 liters capacity. It is assumed that its power for Mustang GT could be about 350 hp. 
The lesser capacity 4,6 liters will have the same power equipment 315. Presently, it is incorporated in the version Mustang-Bullitt, the premiere to be held at 40-years of the American “Bullitt” movie appearance on the screen.
The basic versions of the Ford Mustang will be the old six-cylinder V engine with the capacity of 4,0 liters, and the models Shelby GT500 will be equipped with a 500-powerfull turbo engine V8 of 5,4 liters.
As the press informs, Ford also produces flag engine and Mustang will compete with Corvette ZR1 and Dodge Viper SRT10.
