Toyota plans to release nearly 9 million cars in 2012
Chișinău / Moldova.ORG/ -- The Japanese automaker, Toyota, announced its global plans for the next year.
The company intends to increase its car production to a record 8.9 million units.
The Japanese want to exceed the 2007 year production record, when Toyota factories issued 8.53 million vehicles.
In order to reach the desired level, Toyota had to adjust its previous production plan increasing it by 1.75 million vehicles.
"The pace of recovery after the crisis was faster than we expected.
We plan to bring the total sales for 2011 to 19 trillion yen (245 billion dollars).
The upward tendency is due to increasing demand on the Asian markets.
But, obviously, the consequences of the earthquake of March and the high exchange rate of the yen against the dollar and the euro did their job as negative factors", - the company believes.
The new budget version of the Toyota sedan, which the company is currently developing, will contribute to assisting the implementation of the new plan.
The concern intends to expand its presence on the emerging markets, especially in China.
The Japanese intend to develop another budget sedan and invest in the development of its production about 40 billion yen, separately for this country.
The budget sedan for China, which Toyota is contemplating about, will be created with extensive use of Etios model aggregates, which the Japanese developed for the Indian market in 2010.
