Ford until the end of 2008 will stop the issue of cars in North America, by company press release. The reasons of the reduction of the capacity production – high prices for oil and weak USA economy brings to a low sale on American markets.

Ford plans to give on sale 15% less cars in the second quarter of 2008, as they planned earlier, in the third quarter again with 15-20% less, and the fourth from 2 to 8%.

The reduction will be the subject as wagons, the decreased sale. Instead of that Ford will enlarge the production of the more popular cars: Ford – Focus, Fusion, Edge, Escape, Mercury – Milan and Mariner, and also Lincoln – MKZ and MKX.

In this way Ford tries to realize the plan of reduction expenses until the end of 2008 with five milliard dollars, in comparison with 2005.

“We continue to introduce corrections in our production plan”, - mentioned the president and the main executive director Ford Allan Mulally. “We get more and more profitable company in the North America frameworks, and our plan of reforms here works perfectly. The main undertaking field – the satisfaction of the permanent changes of the Americans requirements, who don’t want already wagons. Now they want compact cars and crossovers.
